What is a video-making MCP for local shops? How to connect and what it can do
What is MCP, and why does it matter for a shop?
MCP is a way for an AI assistant to use outside tools. Once ThinkNova is connected, you can tell your AI assistant "new items arrived this week, make a poster and a short video", and it calls ThinkNova directly. You don't need to open another website and fill in forms.
How do I connect it?
- In an AI assistant that supports remote MCP (ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and others), add the remote MCP address: https://api.thinknova.top/mcp
- Your browser opens the ThinkNova sign-in page. Sign in and approve access.
- No API key is needed. Generation needs a Creator plan or above; on lower plans you can still sign in and check your account.
Once connected, what can the AI assistant do?
- Check your credits;
- Remember your shop's rules: main characters, style, things to avoid, which platforms, how often, time zone, and whether you want to review first;
- Upload photos from your shop as references, or import a public image link;
- Make product images and posters, and edit images;
- Make short videos from a few lines of text or from a photo;
- Follow each task until it finishes and give you a download link.
What is not part of the MCP?
Posting to platforms, captions, voice-over and long-video editing are not in the MCP. They are handled separately in the ThinkNova automation toolkit.
How are credits charged? Can I be charged twice?
Credits are held when a task starts and charged only when it succeeds; if it fails, they are returned. Retrying the same task reuses the same request ID, so you are not charged twice.
Which shops is it for?
Restaurants, beauty salons, florists, retail, tuition centres, renovation and other local shops and small businesses that need to post often but don't have time to film and edit.
